BC.G Officially Announces electroNic's Demotion, Transitions to an Asia-Pacific Region Lineup to Push for PGL Major Singapore 2026
BC.Game has officially announced that it has benched electroNic, removing him from the active lineup. Sources further revealed that the team is close to signing asap as a replacement. The move is aimed at building an Asia-focused roster to improve its chances of qualifying for PGL Major Singapore 2026.
CEO responds: A difficult decision, unrelated to electroNic himself
In an interview with HLTV, BC.Game CEO Ali Muhanned said that although electroNic has been one of the team's most important figures both on and off the server, he had to make a difficult decision for the project's long-term development.
“electroNic is a very positive person, so don’t let snippets on social media mislead you. He has a great sense of humor, often jokes around with his teammates, and always lifts the team’s mood when it matters.”
"But as CEO, I have to make tough decisions. This was a necessary step for the project's development." "This has nothing to do with electroNic personally. If there had been more time to prepare for the Major, I would have given him more time, since this is a new team."
Strategic shift: from Europe’s red ocean to Asia’s blue ocean
After bringing in asap, BC.Game will build an Asia-Pacific core lineup. The team currently sits 36th in the European VRS, where only 18 Major spots are available, leaving its qualification hopes slim. However, with its current 1,191 points, BC.Game ranks fourth in the Asian VRS, and the Asia-Pacific region has five qualification spots—undoubtedly a more realistic route to qualification.
With only six weeks left until the Major invitation cutoff, BC.Game will continue chasing points at smaller LAN events such as ROG Journey Autumn, Stake Pulse Beat III, and DraculaN Season 7 to further improve its qualification chances.
