BCG issues an official statement on the new Valve Regional Standings rules: We are willing to start from scratch in the Asian region

BUFFAssistant

BC.Game issued an official statement on the new Valve Regional Standings rules and proposed a solution:

Over the past few days, we have been reading all the discussion surrounding BCG, our Asia Valve Regional Standings, and the Major. We understand why Valve introduced stricter regional rules. The integrity of the system must be protected, and we respect that. What we find difficult to accept, however, is that our situation is being treated the same as every other case. Our current roster includes three Asian players—asap, mzinho, and Senzu—three players who have already competed at the highest level of Counter-Strike in Asia. They are our core. They are the players we trust.

So rather than argue over old points, interpretations, or technical details, we want to propose what we believe is the fairest solution. Take away all of our points. Reset BC.Game to 0 Valve Regional Standings points, and let asap, mzinho, Senzu, s1mple, and Magisk start from zero. No previous ranking. No inherited points. No advantage. Only the results these five players achieve from this point onward should count. If a brand-new organization entered Counter-Strike today with these five players, that is how it would be treated. We are not asking to be treated better than anyone else. We are only asking not to be treated worse. Give us the same starting point: zero.

We have about three weeks left, and we understand that accumulating enough Valve Regional Standings points in that time may in practice be impossible. We are prepared to accept that challenge. If we cannot accumulate enough points, we will not go to the Major. We accept that.

But if these five players start from absolute zero and somehow climb to a position good enough to qualify for the Major within three weeks... That would show they deserve it. We do not want to remove another player just to find a technical solution. These five players are our lineup, and they should win or lose that opportunity on the server.

We have invested millions in Counter-Strike because we genuinely want to be part of this community and support its growth. We are not asking to take anything other teams have earned. We are prepared to give up everything we have earned ourselves. Just give our five players a chance to earn it again. Start us from zero. Let us play. Let the server decide everything. Zero points, five players, three weeks. If we fail—we stay home. If we make the Major—then we will have proven that we deserve it. In short: the organization requests that its current ranking position be fully reset so that its existing roster can attempt to qualify for the Major through upcoming events, naturally via the Asian region.
