BESTIA and Fluxo rise strongly, while paiN faces immense pressure

After another underwhelming showing, paiN are feeling the pressure more than ever.

BESTIA defeated Bounty Hunters to win Circuit X Curitiba — after Circuit X Curitiba concluded on Sunday, BESTIA and Fluxo are tied for 10th in the Americas Valve Regional Standings, just 14 VRS Points behind a PGL Singapore Major 2026 qualification spot. It was BESTIA's first LAN since bringing in drop and kauez, and they went on to win the title after losing only one match in the group stage—a 0-2 defeat to Galorys. They earned 204 VRS Points from the victory, with drop named the event MVP by Dust2 Brasil. (Some readers may not recognize the team: this is the side that qualified for last year's Austin Major but was replaced by Legacy due to visa issues.)

“That’s really cool,” he said after the final. “Given my role, I never thought I’d be able to win an MVP medal, but I’m also happy that I could help the team.”

“At the end of the day, stats matter a little less when it comes to the team’s success. But of course, I’m very happy to achieve this personal milestone. It shows that, at such an early stage, I’m heading in the right direction.” After finishing behind ShindeN in Group C, Fluxo upset top seed paiN in the quarterfinals. They then lost to Bounty Hunters in the semifinals before getting revenge on ShindeN in the third-place decider.

paiN earned 14 VRS Points from the event, but once again missed a chance to strengthen their position in the rankings. The biguzera-led side will now turn its attention to FERJEE In House, running from September 23 to 27, where Imperial and Bounty Hunters are expected to be their main threats in the title race.

Meanwhile, BESTIA and Fluxo will continue their push for a Major spot abroad. BESTIA will travel to the United States to compete in iBUYPOWER Masters FML, while Fluxo will head to Portugal for LEON.bet Masters Season 1.
