CS Skin Showcase: AWP | The End

BUFFAssistant

In the last update, the game added a limited AK finish along with two collection finishes: the Ink Color Collection and the Harlequin Collection. The finish we are looking at today is part of the Ink Color Collection.

This skin collection centers on a black-and-white palette, with every finish pairing minimalist black, white, and gray. At the top of the collection sits this AWP-The End.

However, this AWP is not actually black as it first appears. It is in fact a "eggplant purple" and white finish. (The colors in the rendered images below are affected by environmental lighting and the HDRI skybox; for the exact colors, refer to how it appears in-game.)

Let's jump right into taking a look at this skin!

This AWP is called The End. Its body features the comic-style lettering of its name, “the end”, while the rest is rendered in black-and-white artwork. The “two different skins” shown above are actually the same finish; the only difference is the color theme on the front and reverse sides.

The artwork may look busy at first glance, but the theme is actually simple: flames, vines, and roses. The flames and vines are concentrated more on the front side, where the text at the center of the finish is framed by burning fire.

At the front of the rifle, you can see patches of flame along with clearly visible vines. The thorny vines wrap around the weapon.

At the rear of the rifle, thorny vines cut off the flames, alongside a rose drifting apart in the wind.

The scope is wrapped in flames, with ash and smoke drifting in the wind.

A vine wraps around the barrel, and small crosshair elements also appear along the top of it.

On the front side of the rifle (from the wielder’s view), the finish follows a black theme, with black covering most of the surface apart from the lettering and the rose.

The reverse side is completely different. Against a pure white background, roses and winding vines intertwine and bloom across the surface, creating a lush, thriving scene.

This is the finish’s central theme: lush roses meet flame, and as the fire bursts forth, they arrive at The End—the end. On the reverse side, the roses are shown after the flames have burned out. Above the “end” inscription, they are nourished by ash and grow even more abundantly than before, continuing the cycle. Creation must be renewed through destruction, and an ending is simply life breathing in a wiser form.

“Ash is a higher form of the rose. It no longer longs for the sky; instead, it sinks into the darkness and becomes the soil from which the sky itself grows.”

Can you guess this skin’s style? Although its finish looks “complex,” it is actually a “solid-color” style skin, and the finish itself holds up to wear extremely well. The vines on the barrel are easy to wear away, but the main artwork itself remains intact.

And at higher wear levels, the small cracks that appear show that this skin uses the same wear texture as the limited skin Atheris.

At certain angles, the skin shows a faint purple tint:
