CS Skin Showcase: MAC-10 | Arabesque Mosaic

BUFFAssistant

Today, we're taking a look at the unique MAC-10 | Arabesque Mosaic.

Rendered image of the weapon body pattern with the normal map removed

This skin is part of the Arabesque Collection, designed and created by WAGAN and Shieno💢. Its original workshop name was Arabesque, and the name added to the game was Arabesque Mosaic. On the Chinese server, it is translated as 阿拉伯式马赛克.

The body pattern draws on Middle Eastern architecture and landscapes—the design incorporates a city with domed buildings, golden architecture under a starry sky, and a vast desert cityscape, giving the skin a mysterious, exotic atmosphere and a grand, epic feel.

Main body pattern—the finish uses a ceramic base, with the weapon body built from off-white square tiles. The surface has convincing naturally aged cracks, giving it a texture that feels like a weathered old wall or an unearthed artifact.

Azulejo tile art: In the original version shown by the creator, the palette used gold paired with blue, drawing on the blue-and-white traditional tiles often seen in exotic styles, complete with intricate geometry and figure motifs. This gave the weapon a classic, refined, and slightly fragile “ceramic” feel. The version that ultimately made it into the game removed the blue sections, but kept that grid-like “tile” look. On inspect, the final in-game version renders the artwork in a more understated sandy tone, blending cleanly with the white tile base, like sunlight falling across an ancient mural.

The lower grip and magazine area on the weapon body do not use the pattern’s scenic artwork, and instead feature a beige geometric floral motif. This orderly, repeating traditional pattern creates a visual contrast with the freer, more romantic scenic artwork on the upper body, giving the skin more depth.

At the rear of the stock, the “miniature scene”—this skin hides another thoughtfully crafted detail at the back of the gun, visible in first-person. Its rear section is designed like a tiny architectural element, almost an arched window or shrine niche. Inside this “window” is the same lighthouse from the landscape artwork, creating a sacred, finely layered sense of depth.

It “wraps” a full landscape scene around the weapon body, turning the gun itself into a storytelling canvas, while the pattern system gives it a wide range of pattern variations and creates a unique “ceramic weapon” aesthetic. The white-and-gold color scheme looks elegant and premium, from the subtle tile-like texture on the body, to the geometric pattern on the grip, and then to the stunning miniature architectural painting at the rear. Every detail shows the designer’s care.

Some of the key motifs on the body are rendered with a metallic finish, such as the pyramid-and-sun pattern, which catches the light at certain angles and gives off an effect similar to a rising or setting sun.

Metallic Effect Comparison:

This is the pattern variation chart for this skin. As you can see, mountains, pyramids, the sun, the moon, a city, and desert scenery are laid out across this broad landscape, while the moon-and-stars motif looks a lot like the Turkish flag.

This skin uses the Spray-Paint finish style, with a wear range of 0~1. The pattern scrapes away the surface artwork on the weapon body, removing parts of the white layer and revealing the black base underneath. This skin’s wear also has a special trait: when the white layer on the body is scraped away, it reveals a gold, metallic-looking base.
