CS Skin Showcase: USP | Spiral Glitch

BUFFAssistant

Today, we’re taking a look at this Spytech-style USP Spiral Glitch (recycled cover image; the cover uses a pixel-rendered pattern similar to bead art, and the scaling causes very noticeable moiré).

This skin was created by creator Sorarox and creator kioShimyo. Between them, the skins these two creators have had accepted add up to eight keys 🔑 (the terminal didn’t hand out any keys). This two-creator collaboration was accepted as a Classified-tier skin for the Spytech Series.

Original skin nameSPIRAL GLITCH (“Spiral Glitch”), translated on the Chinese server as “Spiral Glitch”. Now let’s take a closer look at this skin’s design!

Spytech theme, so the creators built the design around digital glitches intertwined with psychedelic spirals, with glitch as the core idea—the finish captures the aesthetic of “digital glitches” or “signal interference”, covering the body and suppressor in high-contrast black-and-white geometric patterns, including broken linework, offset checkerboards, and noise patterns that feel like a signal cutting out, creating a strong sense of visual disorientation.

Within the chaotic glitch patterns, the finish weaves in a heavy dose of spiral and concentric-circle elements. These motifs feel like hypnotic vortexes, tying into the “Glitch” theme with a psychedelic sense of motion, as if the whole weapon is sitting at the center of a data spiral.

The creator uses several fresh effects here, including iridescence and shimmer, with the gun body covered in a pearlescent coating. When light hits it or your viewing angle changes, those colors keep shifting. This flashy, future-tech effect creates a sharp contrast against the simple black-and-white base, giving the whole gun plenty of detail when static and a flowing, luminous look in motion. Parts of the metallic finish also have a fine, sand-like sparkle, with smaller shimmer particles.

Shimmering Effect

The gun body features the stylized “GLITCH” lettering, making the theme clear right away. Beyond the broad use of black, white, and iridescent tones, the design also adds subtle color accents. For example, there is a crosswise color bar resembling a TV test signal along the top of the slide, as well as small color blocks near the rear of the gun, and those details help the finish feel more complete.

Even though the pattern is extremely intricate and “chaotic,” the designers use smart paneling to give the overall look a surprisingly balanced feel. Most of the dense graphics sit on the metal parts—the slide and suppressor—while the grip uses a cleaner texture with white color-block accents. That keeps the visual theme cohesive while separating the functional areas, making the finish busy without turning messy.

The skin shows strong material contrast across different parts of the weapon. The cold feel of the metal sections, the smooth iridescent sheen of the pearlescent coating, and the matte, grippy texture on the handle are all brought to life through a single texture, giving the finish a convincing sense of realism and quality.

This skin blends Op Art, cyberpunk, and digital-glitch aesthetics. It builds a hypnotic base with a high-contrast black-and-white spiral pattern, then adds a striking iridescent effect as the visual hook, finished with details full of personality.

The highlight on the suppressor tube is actually painted into the texture.

This skin’s style is Custom Expansion, with a float range 0.00–1.00. Wear scrapes away the finish on the body, revealing the black weapon surface underneath.
