FOKUS officially announces JTR as head coach; he previously led Nigma Galaxy to dominate the women's competitive scene.

FOKUS have appointed Ricardo "JTR" Júnior as the team's new head coach. He will replace kuben, who was moved down earlier today, with the club saying the change is intended to "move the team forward in a new direction."

JTR’s coaching career includes plenty of highlights:

From 2021 to 2023, he coached Nigma Galaxy. During that stint, he led the women's roster to dominate the ESL Impact circuit, winning the first two seasons of ESL Impact as well as the Valencia and Katowice titles.

He then moved to ODDIK, where he spent a year as head coach and led the team through the Americas RMR campaign, narrowly missing out on a spot at the PGL Copenhagen Major.

From 2024 to 2026, he worked with FlyQuest as an assistant coach and briefly served as head coach at BLAST Open London 2025.

FOKUS's current status: world No. 55, an up-and-down start to the season

FOKUS, whom JTR has joined, are currently ranked 55th in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS). Following their summer roster changes, the team endured an uneven start—Jorko and volt departed, while podi and jocab joined. In recent results, they finished 9th-16th at BLAST Bounty, 17th-32nd in the EWC Open Qualifiers, and 9th-12th at Stake Pulse Beat II.

Next up, FOKUS, led by Erik "ztr" Gustafsson, have been invited to the playoff stage of NODWIN Clutch Series 12 and have registered for ROG Journey Autumn, a $20,000 event in Skövde, Sweden, as they look to get back on track under their new coach.
