Life's dramatic ups and downs! The team owned by BCG's boss had just qualified for the Major when he received the devastating news of his father's death.
Today, I went from one of the happiest days of my life to the worst day.
For the past four years, I have been chasing a dream: to build a CS team, fighting through setbacks, criticism, and all the moments when people did not believe in us or in me.
Today, that dream finally came true. BC.Game Esports has a strong chance of reaching the Major. I was celebrating, doing interviews tonight, and experiencing something I had dreamed of since I was a child. Four hours later, after the news about the Major, I learned that my father had passed away unexpectedly. I still cannot believe it. In just a few hours, I went from celebrating the chance to fulfill my CS dream to losing my father and my best friend. But none of it compares to the people we have in our lives. Life can change in seconds, and suddenly nothing else matters. So please take care of the people you love. Call them, spend time with them, and tell them what they mean to you. Do not wait until it is too late. To everyone in the CS community, whether you supported us, criticized us, or competed against us, thank you. This is not to seek sympathy for myself, but to remind each other to support one another and not take the people we love for granted.
From now on, this Major will always carry a different meaning for me.
