paiN makes another roster change after a humiliating last-place finish! Demotes piriajr and calls up academy youngster Tatu as an emergency stand-in

BUFFAssistant

According to Dust2.com.br, after finishing last and crashing out of BLAST Open Porto, paiN will make its second roster change in a week—moving piriajr out of the active lineup and bringing in academy player Tatu as his replacement, at least for the short term.

This is also a continuation of paiN's recent roster changes. They previously moved vsm out of the active lineup, with another academy player, Rkzinho, taking his place.

paiN have had a disastrous start to the season: they finished last at BLAST Open Porto and Stake Ranked Episode 3, and were also eliminated early from EWC. After their exit from BLAST Open Porto, captain biguzera gave a blunt assessment of the team's internal atmosphere, saying, "As a team, we no longer trust each other."

The move also brings piriajr's nine-month spell in the starting lineup to an end. The 23-year-old joined from Bounty Hunters in January after posting an impressive 1.32 rating with his former team, but he was unable to carry that form onto the international stage, averaging just a 1.03 rating during his time with paiN.

Tatu, who is replacing him, has spent the past two years in paiN's academy system and is the longest-serving player on its academy lineup. The 22-year-old has posted a 1.07 rating on average this year and has been a steady performer. However, the report did not specify whether this will be a long-term replacement or only for the next few events.
