Skin Overhaul Project #4: Glock-18 | Shinobu
In this installment, let’s take a look at some simple small-element combos and bigger makeover crafts that work well on Glock-18 | Shinobu. This skin is really popular, and most players like it. So how should you craft it?
First, a quick rundown: everyone knows the Glock has a lot of room for crafts and a ton of freedom when it comes to Sticker combos—but just how much? To show it, we’ll use one of the largest Stickers in the game as a preview reference and test how much of the top of the Glock can actually be covered:
The visible area is quite large. Even if you place the largest Sticker all the way at the top, only a small part will show.
A slightly smaller Sticker is placed right at the very top, where it’s almost hidden.
Alright, now that we know the Sticker options, we can start trying all kinds of combos. Here, I’ll show you a few ways to optimize the craft. This skin has way too many possible sticker setups, so due to space, I’ll only cover a few element-based combos, and I’ll only make in-game first-person inspect view examples for the larger elements. This skin is similar to MAC-10 | Ensnared, but it gives you even more freedom than Ensnared. Most combos that work on Ensnared can also be used on this skin. The most eye-catching parts of this skin are the eye and the big forehead area. It also has another trait: the higher the wear, the redder it gets. With that in mind, let’s check out some craft options~
The Eye and the Forehead Ornament
Classic Style
The classic eye-enhancement craft, bar none. A scraped Sticker | Eye of Ollo with a full Sticker | Liquid Fire: dynamic lens-like eye movement plus holographic color-shifting flames. Apply Sticker | Liquid Fire first, then Sticker | Eye of Ollo. So sick!
Lightning Element
Give the character a sharp, lightning-charged gaze and a Thunder Forehead Ornament. Use AWP | Lightning Strike for the gaze—no need to scrape it. For the ornament, use the Sticker | Lightning Raid hidden detail and rotate it into the right position.
Flame Element
Use flame elements to dress up the character: a blazing, flame-like gaze and a flame forehead ornament. Both elements need to be fully scraped. The forehead ornament is the hidden detail from Hot Rod, while the flame in the eye is the hidden detail from Sticker | Hot Rod Heat.
Tear Streak
A young girl's tear marks are the most moving. This craft uses the hidden detail from MP9 | Slipstream Sticker, and both Stickers need to be fully scraped before you place them below the character's eyes.
Starry Eyes
The simplest, cheapest, and most effective way to make a starry-eye craft is to use one Sticker | AKickflip-47. Rotate the AK hidden detail onto the top of the gun so it doesn’t interfere with the main design.
Red Eyeliner
The old mousesports logo Sticker mousesports matches the character’s eye really well. Fully scrape it and use the Sticker hidden detail, rotated to wrap around the eye, to finish the craft.
Glasses Girl
Use one Sticker | Red Sunglasses and place it between the character's eyes to finish the craft.
Sticker | Red Sunglasses has a pretty cool, sharp style. If you fully scrape the sunglasses, they turn into glasses, so build the combo that fits your own taste.
Dynamic Eye Look
Give the skin a more dynamic gaze! Use two Sticker | Sleepy Eye stickers, fully scrape them, then rotate them so the two hidden details line up with the eyes.
Next, let’s take a look at some of the bigger craft combos:
Medusa
Medusa purple pistol craft! You’ll need four Sticker | Draco stickers and one Sticker | Gold Web (Glitter). Apply the flipped Sticker | Draco stickers from the outside in, then flip the final Gold Web and place it in the center as the forehead gem.
Because the Gold Web on the forehead is a gold Glitter Sticker, it has a very three-dimensional look, almost like a gemstone.
Lightning Elementalist
Pair it with different purple Stickers. Options include 9z, Sticker | Draco, Sticker | Lotus, AWP | Lightning Strike, and Sticker | Lightning Raid. For the lightning Sticker, go with the purple Glitter version.
Blood-Red Eye
The most badass craft yet—even the eye has a slash scar! You’ll need one Glitter SG 553 | Hot Snakes, two CZ75-Auto | Crimson Slipstream stickers (green on the Chinese server, red on the international version), one Sticker | Lightning Raid (Glitter), and one Sticker | Sleepy Eye. Make sure SG 553 | Hot Snakes sits at the very bottom. Above it, flip and layer the hidden scrape detail from CZ75-Auto | Crimson Slipstream to create the Blood-Red Eye, then add the hidden detail from Sticker | Lightning Raid as the scar. Finally, add the hidden detail from Sticker | Sleepy Eye as the finishing touch, and the combo is complete!
This combo has another neat feature: it glows in the dark!
Blue Flame
For purple-toned skins, blue-and-purple Stickers pair especially well. The Glitter SG 553 | Hot Snakes looks great, and on this skin it gives the craft a really bold feel.
From certain angles, this Sticker glows.
This skin has a ton of craft potential, and these are far from the only combos you can make. If the setups above gave you some ideas, or if you came up with a great combo of your own, don’t forget to share your craft on Player Show!
