Skin Talk: More Than Just “Full Blue”! A Complete Guide to Niche Pattern Easter Egg Weapon Skins

BUFFAssistant

Although when players talk about “patterns,” most of them immediately think of Blue Gem patterns as famous as “661.”

But aside from partial Case Hardened pattern and Doppler skins with those "well-known" patterns, what other skins have special pattern variants? Let's take a look at which other under-the-radar skins have their own "special pattern" as well.~

UMP-45 | Minotaur's Labyrinth

This UMP-45 skin is well known mainly because it belongs to The Gods and Monsters Collection, giving it the status of “AWP | Medusa trade-up material.”Interestingly, just like Medusa and M4A4 | Poseidon from the same collection, this UMP skin also has its own mythological story behind it. In the imagination of the ancient Greeks, the Minotaur had the head of a bull and the body of a man. After receiving guidance from the Oracle of Delphi, Minos ordered Daedalus to build him a vast underground labyrinth for the Minotaur to live in.

But on some special patterns, the Minotaur at the center of the labyrinth can appear right in the middle of the weapon (pattern 513)!Did you know this trade-up fodder skin had an Easter egg like this?

AWP | PAW

On the AWP | PAW, the best-known pattern among players is the "Lucky Cat" pattern! In CS2, the Lucky Cat on PAW looks even better than before, and its golden reflective effect can rival a team Gold sticker.

But aside from the well-known “Lucky Cat” pattern that most people know, this cat-and-dog skin also has other interesting patterns!

"fly-head" cat pattern (patterns: 29, 97, 685, 900)

"knife-wielding cat" pattern (patterns: 212, 369, 628, 737)

XM1014 | Seasons

Similar to Fade weapon/knife skins, XM1014 | Seasons also has a similar "full-color" pattern. Only certain special patterns show the "blue leaf" on the far left side of the texture map.

★ Sport Gloves | Pandora's Box and MP9 | Pandora's Box

Although both skins are commonly referred to as "Pandora," what most people don't know is that the inner-side texture on ★ Sport Gloves | Pandora's Box is actually the same texture used on MP9 | Pandora's Box!

‌

Desert Eagle | Emerald Jörmungandr

On the Emerald Jörmungandr texture map, you can clearly spot the head of a giant serpent!

On a special pattern,

the serpent’s head appears right in the center of the skin!

‌

Five-SeveN | Withered Vine

In the Withered Vine texture, there’s a special “red flower” hidden in the design, but it only shows up on a special pattern.

Galil AR | Phoenix Blacklight

In the upper-left corner of the Phoenix Blacklight texture image, there’s a complete phoenix! But because the pattern is distributed randomly, not every Phoenix Blacklight pattern lets you see this phoenix.
