Sticker Meme Encyclopedia: Nyan Cat and Rainbow Path
In the recent game update, this set of Element Handmade Sticker has one and only one holographic sticker, named “Rainbow Path.” It features a pixelated rainbow path—did you notice it?
This pixelated rainbow effect may look familiar. It is actually a very famous internet meme called Nyan Cat (Nyan Cat), which flies through space with a rainbow trailing behind it, while its background music is incredibly, incredibly, incredibly addictive.
The Nyan Cat animation shows a cat flying against a starry sky, constantly moving and creating a rainbow trail. Later, someone edited the Nyan Cat animation together with the song Nyanyanyanyanya. The song is extremely catchy and addictive. Over time, the image of Nyan Cat has been widely used in all kinds of memes, video edits, illustrations, and merchandise. It is part of internet culture and an iconic character in internet meme culture.
This is the widely circulated Nyan Cat video:
In addition to online video edits, memes, and internet culture, Nyan Cat has also inspired other forms of culture, such as the game titled Nyan Cat: Lost In Space:
Besides this game, there is also crossover content from other games, such as content from the Terraria collaboration: Nyan Cat Minecart and Meowmere,
Meowmere is a melee weapon in Terraria that has a chance to drop after you defeat Moon Lord in Hardmode. It is also known as the Cat Blade, Rainbow Meow Blade, and Cloud Gaming Blade. When swung, it fires a Nyan Cat and makes meowing sounds, making it a very fun weapon.
And this Counter-Strike holographic sticker, Rainbow Path, is the trail of Nyan Cat. As the viewing angle changes, the square particles on the sticker shift left and right—this is the wear Easter egg for this sticker:
You can scratch off the pixel particles on both sides, and the final Easter egg is a rainbow question mark that you can use to create different combinations.
This is the holographic color spectrum of this decal, and what ultimately appears in the game is a pixel-style color-shifting pattern.
In the game, it appears as:
Wear changes are shown as:
You can create a Rainbow Path, or a rainbow chicken, with just a few consecutive Rainbow Paths:
Also, while datamining, I discovered that the original decal name for Crimson Web and Crimson Batik, which were turned green in the CN version, is: Ruby Wave. However, its original file name is: Blood, so... judging by this file name, it could only be green.
Kitty Rainbow Beam!
In addition, a rainbow is just a rainbow. A rich, multicolored palette does not belong to any particular group. This print is simply a rainbow path, nothing more. Please do not assign it meanings it does not have, and I hope everyone can keep a pure heart.
