Sticker Meme Encyclopedia: Obey SAS
There’s a Sticker in the CS20 Sticker Capsule that shows a black SAS figure on a brown background. This Sticker is called Obey SAS.
This Sticker has a square, boxy black border, and inside it is the old SAS model with that blank, intimidating stare. Around it are all kinds of bits of text and numbers—so what exactly is this Sticker trying to say?
The old-model staring SAS
When this Sticker is worn enough, it leaves behind the outline of SAS and the name Andre. Since the text in the reference image isn’t very obvious, we pulled the texture from the game files and exported the wear map: the black areas are the parts that get worn away.
This Sticker is actually a tribute to CS Graffiti. There used to be a Graffiti called Andre, with brown as its base color, and this Sticker uses the same brown color scheme.
Andre
So, taking that a step further, what does Andre mean here? Why use Andre as the name of a Graffiti?
Actually, Andre refers to André Saraiva, nicknamed Mr. André, a French Graffiti artist known for his highly distinctive, minimalist character drawings. Since 1985, he has been creating Graffiti on the streets of Paris and around the world, and he can be considered one of the representative figures of the Graffiti scene.
Do you think it looks similar to the figure in the Graffiti?

Back to the Sticker itself: this Sticker’s original name is “Obey SAS,” so the Chinese title was rendered as “听他的!”. Now let’s break down the text elements on the Sticker:
SAS (that is, the SAS character shown on the Sticker)
THE LUZER (LUZER is a misspelling and slangy variant of loser, used to joke that SAS is an idiot)
GOT to RUSH B(His call is: RUSH B!)
2+2=3(making fun of SAS for bad decision-making)
1338(1337 means elite, but here it’s 1338)
L2P (This is a piece of gaming slang. It means "leet to play," referring to a skilled player. Paired with 1338, though, the joke here is that this SAS is actually terrible at the game.)
Put together with the sticker’s name, the joke is basically this: the SAS player is bad, but still loves backseat-calling, bossing teammates around, and putting pressure on them, acting like you have to obey him—so you “Obey SAS.”
