The storied organization has broken up its Danish core ahead of PGL Major Singapore 2026.

Astralis have confirmed that HooXi and jabbi have been moved to the bench with immediate effect. The announcement came just two days after HLTV reported that the Danish organization was actively looking for replacements for the pair, with both players entering the final months of their contracts.

“Sometimes, you need to turn the page completely to make room for something new.” Jonas Gundersen, founder and CEO of Astralis parent company Fusion Esports, wrote in a statement posted on X. “Astralis is one of the most successful brands in CS history, built by an iconic Danish lineup that created lifelong memories for all our fans. That is a true legacy we will always be proud of. However, it is time to turn the page.”

“As a step toward a new direction, we have jointly decided that Astralis will continue its journey without HooXi and jabbi from today, with their contracts set to expire at the end of the year. I would like to sincerely thank them for their hard work and dedication in becoming part of Astralis’ story—especially for helping us secure our first LAN title since 2019.”

Former Liquid IGL siuhy and FUT substitute cmtry are reportedly set to join Astralis. If the deal goes through, cmtry would switch to a rifler role.

jabbi has been with Astralis since November 2023, when he and stavn arrived from HEROIC in a high-profile move. HooXi signed in June 2025 following a spell on the bench, taking over the IGL duties from cadiaN. The Danish IGL led the team to the Stake Ranked Episode 4 title—Astralis's first LAN trophy since December 2019—and three more LAN finals at PGL Astana 2025, FISSURE Playground #1, and PGL Bucharest 2026.

Astralis’s title run in Barcelona has lifted them into the global top 10 in VRS, and according to HLTV’s latest projection, they are all but guaranteed a spot at PGL Major Singapore 2026. Astralis are expected to announce their new players soon, with the team set to compete in Stake Pulse Beat III on October 12.
