Thorin asserts that Spirit can't win the EPL title: they rely on overperforming

CS2 analyst Thorin recently weighed in on the leading title contenders for ESL Pro League Season 24. He does not believe Team Spirit can win a third straight trophy.

Thorin: Obviously, Spirit have a real shot at winning the title. Anyone can parrot OverDrive and say Spirit are going to win again. You can call them the strongest team, but at the last event, every one of their players except donk was playing at an unusually high level. If sh1ro can maintain that same form, we’ll see Spirit in the final. But I favor Vitality or Falcons to lift the trophy. More precisely, I’m only backing Falcons, because Vitality will face major issues with practice. I don’t believe they can get the work done in the span of just two events.

ESL Pro League Season 24 will be held in Poland from October 3 to 11. The world’s top teams will compete for a $1 million prize pool. For Spirit, this will be their first event after nearly a month of offseason break.

Earlier, Thorin had strongly criticized Team Spirit. He argued that the team had not started an era of its own, and that its wins came only because the opposition was not strong enough.
